Speriamo davvero!!!c'è un gap artistico abnormeYesterday, VEVO unintentionally revealed that Alicia Keys enlisted Nicki Minaj for one of the two remixes of her new single, “Girl On Fire.” They uploaded an edited version of the standard cover for the “Inferno Remix.” Underneath the song’s title was “featuring Nicki Minaj” (pictured here).
Instantly, fans and critics alike raised their brows at the odd combination. Why would Keys, a 14-time Grammy winner who promotes positivity through her music (see: “Superwoman”), team up with Minaj, a 6-time BET Awards winner who arguably degrades women through her music (see: “Stupid Hoe”)?
Is the singer that shelved a video featuring Beyoncé desperate for a hit or popularity? Was the remix simply a decision made by RCA, Keys’ record label?
Earlier today, Keys confirmed that two remixes for “Girl On Fire” indeed exists. She uploaded the covers for the “Inferno” and “Bluelight” remixes; however, “featuring Nicki Minaj” had been removed from the former cover (pictured here).
Did Alicia remove Nicki due to the warranted backlash? Are Keys’ enthusiasts being too sensitive?
The standard version and two remixes will be released on September 4th, followed by a live debut at the 2012 MTV VMAs on September 6th.
Oddio spero sia veroooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
